Hygiene Notice

Springfield Family Dental

Dear valued patients of Springfield Family Dental,

In the last couple weeks, our office has experienced several unprecedented events which have led to a situation where we will be without any dental hygienists, starting on April 7th, 2025. As you can imagine, this has created an incredibly difficult scenario for us. We want you to know that we have been doing everything we possibly can to get things back to normal operation.

What does this mean for our patients?

For an undetermined amount of time, we will be unable to fulfil any existing dental hygiene appointments after April 7th.

We kindly ask that you do not call the office to reschedule your appointments. There are over 70 patients per week that will receive this message. We will not able to take calls from everyone. Instead, please wait for us to reach out with a new date and time after we are able to get things back on track.

In the meantime, please disregard any automated text message reminders that may still come through.

What are we doing about it?

We have been actively searching for dental hygienists who can provide high quality care to our patients. Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, dental hygienists have been very difficult to hire across the entire United States. We have cast a very wide net, and we are hopeful that this will be resolved within a matter of weeks. As mentioned previously, we will refuse to hire any hygienist for the position unless we feel they can provide high quality care – even if this means waiting a little longer for the right applicants.

In the meantime

All other dental needs and emergencies will be handled as normal by Dr. Salar and assisting staff. Please do not hesitate to reach if you have dental needs outside of routine cleanings. Again, we deeply apologize for this inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Dr. Salar & Staff at Springfield Family Dental
